RSS weighs in on Nagpur violence: Aurangzeb not relevant today

Senior RSS functionary Sunil Ambekar said Mughal emperor Aurangzeb, whose tomb was at the centre of a row that sparked clashes in Nagpur, was not relevant today and any type of violence was not healthy for society. Over 30 people, mostly police personnel, were injured in the clashes that broke out between two communities after right-wing outfits held a protest demanding the removal of Aurangzeb's tomb. The latest round of controversies started following the release of the movie 'Chhaava', which showcases the history of Maratha king Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj and how he was executed by Aurangzeb.
