More 5-minute frequency trains on Purple Line of Namma Metro in Bengaluru

After complaints from several commuters about the low frequency of trains resulting in overcrowding, the Bangalore Metro Rail Corporation Limited has advanced the starting time of the five-minute frequency trains from 5.56 p.m. to 3.56 p.m. between ITPL and Mysuru Road on the Purple Line. The five-minute frequency services will run from 3.56 p.m to 8 p.m., and is expected to benefit several IT workers, students, and other commuters. Commuters relieved “After so many complaints for so long, the frequency of trains has finally been increased for this period. However, with the fare increase, BMRCL should also prioritise passenger convenience and increase the train frequency across the operating hours,” said Myna K., a regular commuter from K.R.
