Chhattisgarh: Baghel reinstates OPS for state-owned Discoms staff

Raipur: Chhattisgarh cabinet has cleared the proposal for restoration of the old pension scheme for the employees of state-owned power companies. The decision was taken at the state cabinet meeting held under the chairmanship of chief minister Bhupesh Baghel late on Friday evening, official sources said on Saturday. The cabinet also approved the proposal to establish the State Mahua Board to oversee collection, value addition, processing, and utilisation of Mahua, a forest produce collected by tribals. The cabinet also revoked termination orders on the officers and employees of the state health department sacked under Essential Service Maintenance Act for going on strike.
