Jinan-Zhengzhou high-speed railway opens to traffic
China DailyThe high-speed railway connecting Jinan in East China's Shandong province and Puyang in Central China's Henan province went into operation on Dec 8, marking the completion of Jinan-Zhengzhou high-speed railway. With a designed speed of 350 kilometers per hour, passengers can take high-speed trains from Jinan West Railway Station directly to Zhengzhou East Railway Station with the shortest commuting time at 103 minutes. The high-speed railway serves as an important connecting line in the national "eight verticals and eight horizontals" high-speed rail network and an integral part of the Yellow River land-sea corridor. The Jinan-Zhengzhou high-speed railway will provide a rapid transportation link between the Shandong Peninsula and city clusters along the lower reaches of the Yangtze River, around Chengdu and Chongqing, in central Henan province, and in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area.
