BJP files complaint over display of Hamas leaders’ posters during Thrithala Fest procession in Kerala

The Hindu

The Bharatiya Janata Party has filed complaints with the police seeking action against those responsible for reportedly displaying posters of Hamas leaders during parade at the Thrithala Fest in Palakkad, Kerala, on Sunday. Posters of former Hamas leaders such as Yahya Sinwar and Ismail Haniyeh were on display during an elephant procession taken out as part of the fest. BJP Palakkad west district president P. Venugopal filed a complaint with the DySP at Shoranur seeking action against the organisers of fest. He said photos of Hamas leaders were displayed with “the aim of creating communal divide among the youth by instilling extremist ideology in them.” He also alleged a conspiracy behind the move.
