Hillary Clinton's Democratic Party convention performance key to building party unity
It's all about the balloon drop. Bernie Sanders has endorsed Mrs Clinton, but many supporters remain sceptical "He needs to help her rally these young people," Mike McCurry, Bill Clinton's former press secretary and former DNC communications director told the ABC. Balancing act for Clinton, keynote speakers Michelle Obama, Joe Biden, Mrs Clinton's husband Bill and her daughter Chelsea are also due to speak at the convention in prime time. "I think the other prominent speakers at the Democratic Party convention might tone it back just a notch or two because they want Hillary to have the big moment when that comes on the last night," Mr McCurry said. Barack Obama and other key speakers are likely to tone down their speeches so Mrs Clinton is the convention star There will be a balancing act within Mrs Clinton's big speech too — will it primarily be a Trump-bashing exercise or a rousing vision of the future with America's first female president?
