Vijaysen Reddy of the Telangana High Court expressed his displeasure over the conduct of state authorities in not paying compensation to an 84-year-old retired engineer in return for acquisition of his land. Earlier, the judge in the writ plea preferred by the petitioner directed the authorities to acquire the land of the petitioner which was illegally encroached, by initiating proceedings under the Right to Fair Compensation and Transparency in Land Acquisition, Rehabilitation and Resettlement Act 2013.
