Lokesh praises Chandrababu Naidu for Polavaram, Pattiseema projects

Rajahmundry: A large delegation comprising an MP, six Cabinet ministers, 60 legislators and 15 members of the Legislative Council visited the Polavaram irrigation project and Pattiseema lift scheme and inquired about the execution and functioning of various components of the projects. Project engineers explained to the delegation the functioning of the Pattiseema project which was aimed to pump Godavari water to Krishna delta to help the farmers there take up cultivation of crops without facing shortage of water. Speaking at the project’s delivery point, IT minister N. Lokesh said nearly 100 tmc ft of Godavari water was diverted to Krishna delta for this season through the project helping the farmers cultivate crops and earn additional income of Rs10,000 crore. He praised Mr Naidu and irrigation minister Devineni Uma Maheswara Rao and all those involved in the project for working hard to execute it successfully.
