Bombay High Court rejects UAE firm Seclink's plea against Dharavi project tender to Adani
India TodayThe Bombay High Court on Friday dismissed the plea of UAE-based infrastructure company Seclink Technology Corporation challenging the awarding of the Rs 5,000-crore Dharavi redevelopment project to the Adani Group. A bench comprising Chief Justice DK Upadhyaya and Justice Amit Borkar upheld the Maharashtra government's decision to award the project to Adani, stating that STC’s petition lacked merit and substance. In 2019, STC secured the bid for the Dharavi redevelopment project with a quoted amount of Rs 7,200 crore, surpassing the bid by Adani Infrastructure, which quoted Rs 4,539 crore. STC, headed by Nilang Shah and backed by the royal family of the United Arab Emirates, accused the government of favouring the Adani Group by effectively handing over the Dharavi land to the conglomerate.
