Minister C.V. Ganesan inaugurates phase III of Makkaludan Mudhalvar scheme in Krishnagiri

Minister for Labour Welfare and Skill Development C.V. Ganesan inaugurated the third phase of “Makkaludan Mudhalvar” scheme in Krishnagiri on Thursday. The inauguration entailed disbursement of welfare scheme benefits worth ₹2.56 crore to over 961 eligible persons. On labour welfare, Mr.Ganesan said disbursement of compensation for deaths of labour from industrial accidents were expedited and a compensation of ₹5 lakh was disbursed within 48 hours of such accidents. Makkaludan Mudhalvar scheme, which was first inaugurated in Dharmapuri, had seen making tangible difference in the lives of people, pushing the lower bureaucracy into processing demands in a timebound manner, according to the Minister.
