With offseason emphasis on skating, Ty Dellandrea hopes to capture NHL spot with Stars
New York TimesTy Dellandrea has flown all across the hockey spectrum in 2021. “It’s nice to be able to come in and feel super familiar with everyone and all of the systems and stuff we’re doing this year,” Dellandrea said. “I feel like this year, it’s nice to just be able to work hard and play and not as much stress of all this new stuff on your shoulders.” Making things flow has been a theme for Dellandrea this offseason. I’ve done a lot of work with getting my legs stronger to get stronger in my skating.” Dellandrea is listed on the development camp roster at the same 6-foot-1, 190 pounds that he was listed at in training camp last season but his frame is more filled out this time around. The young Stars forward went to Cogliano’s place for a few weeks to work on his skating and get tips from one of the great veteran skaters who also resembles Dellandrea in stature.
