AOC Asks DOJ If She’s Under Investigation For Informing People Of Their Rights
LOADING ERROR LOADING Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez sent a letter to Attorney General Pam Bondi asking if she is under federal investigation for informing people of their rights on Thursday. Ocasio-Cortez’s letter follows public statements by White House border czar Tom Homan that the congresswoman should be investigated for hosting an online “know your rights” seminar to inform the public of their rights when confronted by immigration officers. So, maybe AOC’s gonna be in trouble now.” It is not known whether Homan actually sent an email to the Justice Department or, if he did, what he asked in it. The congresswoman asked Bondi to clarify whether the Justice Department “has yielded to political pressure and attempts to weaponize the agency against elected officials whose speech they disagree with,” in her letter.
