EPF Interest At 4-Decade Low: Here're Current Rates Offered By PPF, NSC, Kisan Vikas Patra
News 18The government has ratified a four-decade-low interest rate of 8.1 per cent on employees’ provident fund deposits for 2021-22. Post office savings deposits offer an interest rate of 4 per cent per annum, while time deposits of the tenure 1-3 years offer 5.5 per cent per annum. National Saving Certificates and Kisan Vikas Patra are offering annual interest rates of 6.8 per cent and 6.9 per cent, respectively. EPF Revised Rates The government has approved a four-decade-low interest rate of 8.1 per cent on employee provident fund deposits for 2021-22, according to news agency PTI quoting an EPFO office order. The retirement fund body had in March decided to pay an 8.1 per cent rate of interest on the provident fund deposits for the financial year 2021-22, against 8.5 per cent earlier.
