RP Singh appointed Hockey India selection committee chairman

Hindustan Times

Ram Prakash Singh has been appointed chairman of Hockey India’s selection committee, having served the National Sports Federation in multiple roles in the past. My first mission is to pick the right squad for the Asian Games as winning gold will fetch India a direct ticket to Paris Olympics,” said Singh, who hails from Deoria in Uttar Pradesh. Earlier a member of the junior selection committee in 1998, Singh also served HI as the chairman of its high performance and development committee in 2021 before becoming a member of the senior selection panel that same year. Our boys are playing in patches and that’s the only problem with our team, but I am sure soon they will overcome this problem too,” said Singh, who is also secretary of Uttar Pradesh Hockey.
