Twentieth Century Fox has released a new trailer for the 1988 film, cut to make it look like true festive fare, and accompanied by the tongue-in-cheek tagline: “The greatest Christmas story ever told”. “Plus a woman about to give birth features prominently.” However, YouGov poll has already found that only 31 per cent of those polled actually said they consider films set at Christmas, but not specifically about Christmas, Christmas movies – which doesn’t spell good news for Die Hard. The actor ended his appearance on The Comedy Central Roast of Bruce Willis by declaring: “Die Hard is not a Christmas movie.” He then sealed the deal with a harmonica solo.
