Apple Says Excited To Begin Making iPhone 13 'Right Here In India', For Indians
ABP NewsNew Delhi: In line with India's vision of becoming a global handset manufacturing hub, Apple has started producing its flagship iPhone 13 in the country. "We are excited to begin making iPhone 13 -- with its beautiful design, advanced camera systems for stunning photos and videos, and the incredible performance of the A15 Bionic chip -- right here in India for our local customers," Apple told ABP Live in a statement. Apple's third contract manufacturing partner, Taiwan-based Pegatron Corporation is also likely to begin production in India, starting with the iPhone 12. Many of the company's supplier sites in the country utilise solar and wind energy for their needs and over the years, the company has more than doubled the number of suppliers committed to using 100 per cent clean energy with 175 Apple suppliers transitioning to using renewable energy, thus, pushing its ambitious goal to be carbon neutral across its supply chain and products by 2030.
