BSNL officially reveals 4G and 5G rollout details, to offer 5G plans at affordable prices
India TodayWhile two major telecom operators in India have started rolling out 5G service in India, the government-led BSNL is now preparing to rollout 4G using homegrown technology. The telco’s Chairman and Managing Director, P K Purwar, has asserted that 4G will be available for BSNL users starting November this year, which basically means next month. According to a report by PTI, Tata Consultancy Services and the government’s Centre for Development of Telematics led consortium is working with BSNL to provide the homegrown 4G core tech to the telecom company. With BSNL and Reliance Jio planning to offer 5G plans at low prices, it will be interesting to see how Vodafone Idea as well as Airtel will maintain their position in the market and how they will attract more customers.
