Lokesh should say what Mr. Naidu had done for North Andhra during his three previous stints as CM, says Amarnath
The HinduYSRCP district president Gudivada Amarnath has said that the projects in North Andhra, for which Prime Minister Narendra Modi is scheduled to launch during his visit to Visakhapatnam on January 8, were all conceived during the YSRCP government. Taking strong exception to statement of Minister forr IT Nara Lokesh that the previous YSRCP government had done nothing for development of North Andhra region, Mr. Amarnath said instead of asking what former Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy had done for the region, Mr. Lokesh should ask as to what his father had done for the region during his three previous stints as Chief Minister. Mr. Amarnath, who has served as Minister for IT in the YSRCP government, said that it was former Chief Minister YS Rajasekhara Reddy, who laid the seeds for development of IT in Visakhapatnam city. VSP privatisation While welcoming Mr. Lokesh’s statement that the TDP would not allow privatisation of Visakhapatnam Steel Plant, Mr. Amarnath said that Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu should prevail upon the Prime Minister to make a statement on withdrawal of strategic sale of VSP at his public meeting in Visakhapatnam.
