For the financial year 2017-18, the airline reported a standalone net loss of Rs 767.62 crore, against a net profit of Rs 1,482.52 crore, according to the filing. However, the airline in the release claimed that “the company reported a net loss of Rs 1,040 crore in Q4 FY18 versus a profit of Rs 583 crore in the March quarter of FY17.” The other expenses also rose by 34.72 percent to Rs 1,727.68 crore during the quarter, compared with Rs 1,282.41 crore in the same quarter of 2016-17, according to the filing. The capacity during Q4 increased by over 10 percent, while load factor surged by 3.9 percent, the airline said, adding that it reduced net debt by Rs 359 crore.
