Harvard student uses ChatGPT to write first-year assignments, gets impressive results
Ever since its inception, ChatGPT has been put to test by many people across the globe and has managed to leave us all quite stunned in some scenarios. OpenAI launched GPT-4, the more powerful version of ChatGPT earlier this year and at the time of its introduction, it was revealed that GPT-4 could clear several exams including LSAT, SAT Math and GRE Quantitative exam. The Harvard student, named Maya Bodnick, also used GPT-4 for her experiment and shared her experience in a written piece for Slow Boring, a newsletter by Matthew Yglesias. "Two weeks ago, I asked eight Harvard professors and teaching assistants to grade essays written by ChatGPT-4 in response to a prompt assigned in their class," Bodnick wrote in the piece explaining the experiment. GPT-4 is a large multimodal model that, while less capable than humans in many real-world scenarios, exhibits human-level performance on various professional and academic benchmarks.” While introducing GPT-4, OpenAI also released a list of exams that the chatbot had passed and shared its scores as well.
