Controversial Dutch MP Geert Wilders in Perth to launch anti-Islam party

Controversial Dutch MP Geert Wilders was expected to launch the anti-Islam Australian Liberty Alliance political party in Perth at a secret location today. Mr Wilders tweeted that he had enjoyed "a wonderful boat trip" on Perth Swan River on Monday night, and that it was "great to be back in Australia". Mr Wilders previously labelled Islam "retarded", called the Prophet Mohammed a paedophile and compared the Koran to Hitler's Mein Kampf. ALA national president Debbie Robinson said a five-star hotel had cancelled a booking for today's launch when it realised Mr Wilders would be involved.
