Allowance for answer script evaluation: teachers criticise CU decision
The HinduA section of teachers in government and government-aided colleges affiliated with the University of Calicut have objected to an order to grant allowance for answer script evaluation of four-year undergraduate courses only to either self-financing college teachers or those who work for self-financing courses in aided colleges. According to the order issued by the Controller of Examinations on March 6, the above-mentioned teachers will get ₹20 per answer script for semesters 1,3,5, and 7. The answer script evaluation of the semesters is done at the respective colleges. They claimed that the Syndicate members, who seek dearness allowance and travelling allowance for their official meetings, had no qualms in denying wages to college teachers for answer script evaluation.
