Broken bones and skull, tortured: Autopsy of mother of three killed in Manipur

The autopsy report of a woman who was killed by suspected insurgents in Manipur's Jiribam district on November 7 recorded eight wounds, including broken bones and a burnt skull. The postmortem report, accessed by India Today, revealed disturbing details of her death, which the report attributes to severe burns covering nearly her entire body. According to the autopsy conducted at Silchar Medical College and Hospital in Assam, the woman’s body was found with 99 per cent of the body's surface being covered by burnt wounds. However, the autopsy could not confirm whether the woman was sexually assaulted, as the extensive burns rendered certain examinations impossible.
