India ‘unequivocally condemns’ Pakistani bombing of Afghan targets
The HinduIndia on Monday “unequivocally condemned” the latest Pakistani airstrike on targets inside Afghanistan. India’s remarks came days after Pakistani Air Force bombed targets in Paktika in after days of skirmishes between Pakistani forces and Taliban border guards. Pakistan Air Force jets bombed targets in Barmal district of Paktika between December 24-25 that led to the killing of at least 46 individuals including women and children. Following the attacks, Taliban’s ‘Defence Ministry’ said, “The Islamic Emirate considers this brutal bombing a violation of international principles and a clear act of aggression. This cowardly attack will not go unanswered.” Taliban controlled Afghanistan and Pakistani armed forces have been clashing along the Durand Line near Paktika for several weeks.
