India TV NewsThe Election Commission achieved a remarkable feat by facilitating voting at the highest polling booth in Maharashtra, located at the Raireshwar Fort in the Baramati constituency, during the third phase of Lok Sabha polls on May 7. Situated atop the picturesque Raireshwar Fort, nestled at an impressive altitude of 4,491 feet, the polling booth posed logistical challenges. Mobilisation of resources Equipped with essential voting machinery, including Electronic Voting Machines, control units, and Voter Verifiable Paper Audit Trail devices, election staff and officers ensured that all necessary materials reached the remote polling station. National voter turnout The third phase of polling witnessed a voter turnout of approximately 60.97 per cent across 11 states and union territories.
