ABP NewsThe Ministry of Education will release the NIRF Rankings 2024 on August 12, 2024. Last year, the Indian Institute of Technology, Madras continued its dominance as the top "overall" category in the country for the fifth consecutive year. The top spot in the research category was claimed by the Indian Institute of Science in Bengaluru, with IIT Madras missing the top position by just 2.2 marks. The methodology draws from the overall recommendations broad understanding arrived at by a Core Committee set up by MHRD, to identify the broad parameters for ranking various universities and institutions," reads the official website. The 2023 rankings evaluated 5,543 higher education institutions across 13 categories: overall, universities, medical, engineering, management, law, architecture, colleges, research institutions, pharmacy, dental, agriculture and allied sectors, and innovation.
