Skyscrapers to dot Vizag skyline
Deccan ChronicleVisakhapatnam: The ten-storied residential buildings of the Indian Navy at Coast Battery on beach road was once envied by the city’s denizens. Srinivasa Rao told Deccan Chronicle that the people here will get high-end housing with all amenities that include swimming pools, theater and conference halls in the tall buildings. Advocating a horizontal development, vice president of CREDAI, E Ashok Kumar, said it was too early to go for skyscrapers in a small two-tier city like Visakhapatnam. “Instead, there was plenty of space in Madhurawada, Endada and Anandapuram, where there is abundant scope for affordable housing.” Bheemili MLA Ganta Srinivasa Rao suggested that builders develop the space between the Bhogapuram International Airport and Visakhapatnam city, as a six-lane road would create an easy and fast access to the city.
