Training session for street food vendors to comply with food safety and quality held in Mysuru

The Mysuru City Corporation has initiated training sessions for street food vendors to comply with food safety and quality by improving hygiene standards. MCC Commissioner Ashaad Ur Rahman Shariff said that such training sessions had been periodically conducted and so far, more than 1,000 street food vendors had benefited from it. Explaining the objectives of the training programme, Mr. Shariff said it was being conducted to help the street food vendors improve their quality as also hygiene standards. Underlining the importance of ensuring hygiene, Mr. Shariff said this was one sure way of attracting more customers and cited the examples of a few vendors drawing large number of customers because of the quality of food and hygiene standards maintained by them.
