India TodayA father poisoned his 10-year-old son by mixing sodium nitrate in water, leading to the child's death in Gujarat's Ahmedabad. According to the complaint filed by the accused's elder brother, Yogesh Gohel, Kalpesh lived in Bapunagar with his wife, 15-year-old daughter Jiya, 10-year-old son Om, and his elderly parents. When Yogesh and some neighbours reached the police station, Kalpesh admitted to mixing around 30 grams of sodium nitrate in water and forcing Om to drink it.
