Navy seizes 500 kg of crystal meth from fishing boats in Arabian Sea

The Indian Navy has seized 500 kilograms of crystal meth from fishing boats in a coordinated operation with the Sri Lankan Navy, officials said on Friday. The Indian Navy launched an extensive search and surveillance operation in the Arabian Sea following intelligence shared by Sri Lankan Navy officials. Continuous inputs from the Sri Lankan Navy and aerial surveillance by Indian Naval aircraft led to the identification of two suspicious boats. On November 24th and 25th, the Indian Naval ship's boarding team successfully intercepted both boats, resulting in the seizure of approximately 500 kilograms of crystal meth.
