DUSU Election Results: Counting Begins After Two-Month Wait, Details Here
New Delhi: The counting of votes for the long-delayed Delhi University Students' Union elections began at North Campus on Monday, nearly two months after polling was conducted, as reported by news agency PTI. The secretary's post sees a competition between ABVP's Mitravinda Karanwal, NSUI's Namrata Jeph Meena, and SFI's Anamika K. For the joint secretary's position, ABVP's Aman Kapasia faces NSUI's Lokesh Choudhary and SFI's Sneha Aggarwal. Currently, the ABVP holds most of the key posts in the student body, including president, secretary, and joint secretary, while the Congress-affiliated NSUI holds the vice-president's position. Electronic Voting Machines, used to elect central panel members—president, vice president, secretary, and joint secretary—were stored securely in a strong room under 24-hour police surveillance.
