Singer Kalpana breaks silence on suicide attempt reports: Was unable to sleep

Singer Kalpana Raghavender on Wednesday told the police that she didn't attempt suicide, but took 10 pills to fall asleep. The police official revealed that on Monday, the singer asked her daughter, Daya Prasad, to move back to Hyderabad for further studies, which resulted in an argument. The police also said it was Raghavendar's husband, Prasad, who alerted the colony welfare members after his wife failed to answer his phone calls. Earlier, while speaking to the media, Raghavendar's daughter clarified that her mother didn't attempt to end her life, but only took an overdose of sleeping pills.
