Bruno Fernandes eases fears over Man United future after he put talks over a new contract ON HOLD

Bruno Fernandes has eased fears over his future at Manchester United after it emerged that the Portugal star has shelved contract talks until the end of the season. United confirmed on Monday that initial discussions are on hold, although the club are relaxed over the situation given that Fernandes’ current deal runs until 2025 with an option to extend it by another year. Negotiations over a new Man United contract for Bruno Fernandes have been put on hold The 27-year-old playmaker is said to want parity with the club’s biggest earners like Cristiano Ronaldo, David de Gea and Paul Pogba to reflect his importance to the team. Fernandes’ form has dipped this season amid concerns that he has been upstaged by Ronaldo’s return to the club, but he scored both United’s goals in Saturday’s 2-2 draw at Aston Villa. Fernandes reportedly earns about £100,000 per week, a deal United want to improve given David de Gea is on £375,000 per week and Cristiano Ronaldo over £400,000 Meanwhile, interim boss Ralf Rangnick is understood to have spoken to Anthony Martial after they clashed over the France striker’s absence at Villa Park.
