Tribal girl critical in NIMS after food poisoning

C. Shailaja, a 16-year-old student is in critical condition. Upon admission, Shailaja was diagnosed with kidney issues, specifically elevated serum creatinine levels, dehydration and a lung infection. For the next three days, she underwent Continuous Renal Replacement Therapy to address her kidney dysfunction. By November 8, she showed signs of improvement, with her lung infection subsiding and her urine output returning to normal. E. Mahalakshmi, 14, also experienced multiple episodes of vomiting and loose motions that led to dehydration and kidney issues.
