Coimbatore-based property developer’s 11-year-old son abducted; driver held

The police on Saturday arrested the driver of a Coimbatore-based property developer on the charge of abducting the latter’s 11-year-old son. The police said that Naveen, 30, who worked as driver for Sridhar Suryakumar of Thiruvalluvar Street, near Thudiyalur in the city, was arrested on Saturday. According to the police, Sridhar’s wife S. Krithika lodged a complaint with the Thudiyalur police on Saturday afternoon, alleging that her 11-year-old son was abducted by Naveen. After receiving the complaint, the Thudiyalur police traced Naveen’s whereabouts to Bhavani in Erode district.
