The Delhi that BJP gets: How has it changed in a decade
The Bharatiya Janata Party won the 2025 Delhi elections and will soon form the government, ending the Aam Aadmi Party’s 10-year rule. Between the financial years 2015 and 2024, Delhi’s share of tax revenue to the GSDP fell from 5.38 per cent to 4.57 per cent. The female labour force participation in Delhi was 12.6 per cent in 2015-16, which was less than half of all states’ average of 27.4 per cent. Delhi’s unemployment rate came down from 3.1 per cent to 2.1 per cent while all states’ average decreased from 3.7 per cent to 3.2 per cent. EXPORTS FROM DELHI Delhi’s share in India’s overall exports was around three per cent between the financial years 2017-18 and 2019-20.
