Forest watcher accused of tampering with his SSLC marks card to secure job
The HinduThe Kalaburagi Police have registered a complaint against a forest watcher for securing a post by tampering with his educational certificates. Though he secured only 318 marks in the SSLC exam, the accused altered his marks to 605 in the document submitted to the Forest Department. Surprisingly, the marks card submitted to Karnataka School Examination and Assessment Board for document verification was the original one with 318 marks. Verification of Beerappa’s SSLC marks card submitted to the KSEAB and the original marks sheet obtained from the school in which he studied revealed that his original marks was 318 and it was tampered with to inflate the marks to secure the job. The activist stated that except Beerappa, all the 22 candidates selected for the post secured anywhere between 585 and 621 marks in SSLC and questioned how a candidate with just 318 marks can be selected.
