Former Chicago Bulls star Dennis Rodman opened up on his relationship with Kim Jong-un Rodman revealed the two of them had a vodka-fuelled karaoke evening with an all-girl band 'When they asked me to go to North Korea, I was like 'hey man, yeah North Korea I'll go' because I'm thinking I'm going to do autograph shows and play a basketball game. Rodman said he didn't know who Kim Jong-un was when he travelled to North Korea in 2013 He also explained that he thought he was being arrested after he had arrived in the country However, he thought the very warm welcome received around the basketball arena was for him, whereas it was actually for the country's supreme leader that Rodman did not recognise who was sat right next to him. He explained that he does not talk to him about politics as he visited for sporting reasons The two have remained close friends but Rodman revealed North Korea track his calls daily Rodman said that he even bought Kim Jong-un's baby daughter a basketball jersey and has played with his daughter whilst on his trip.
