Gujarat man arrested for trying to frame son-in-law with hate-filled pamphlets

India Today

A teacher in Gujarat’s Surat was falsely accused of spreading hate through pamphlets, which were later found to have been printed by his father-in-law. The pamphlets, falsely attributed to a local coaching centre run by Raees Shaikh, claimed to train individuals on how to oppose organisations like BJP and RSS. Police investigation revealed that Raees Sheikh, a 24-year-old tutor from Noorani Nagar, runs Star Trek Coaching Classes with his brother Mushtaq, where around 50 students from grades 6 to 10 attend classes for Mathematics and Science. Recently, after another altercation, Suleman allegedly printed five pamphlets using his school resources, intending to damage Raees’s reputation, shut down his coaching classes, and prevent him from securing a government job. Suleman Chand Sheikh was arrested for printing and distributing the pamphlets under his son-in-law’s name and the police are probing if other people were involved in the incident.
