iPhone 17 to feature a smaller notch and under-screen Face ID? Here is what we know

We are about 6 months away from the launch of the iPhone 17 series, and most of the leaks have already hinted at what the next-generation iPhones will bring. Now, a new iPhone is rumoured to come with a smaller notch compared to the iPhone 16 series and feature an under-screen Face ID. Gurman claimed that Apple could either launch it in 2026 or 2027, which means that either the iPhone 18 or iPhone 19 series could come with a smaller Dynamic Island. Interestingly, this tech was supposed to be introduced with the iPhone 17 Pro smartphones, something which display industry analyst Ross Young reported in April 2023. Now that both Young and Gurman suggest that the smaller Dynamic Island will come with the 2026 Apple devices, we could see it with the iPhone 18 Pro models.
