Read our privacy policy A sex offender has gone on the run from an open prison after being let out for a work placement. In a statement released online, a spokesperson for Avon and Somerset Police said he was last seen at around 10am in West Street, in Bristol. “He failed to return to the prison in South Gloucestershire where he is serving a sentence for sexual offences,” the statement added.
