COVID-19 forcing families to spend Christmas Day in isolation

ABC

Tim Nairne was meant to spend Christmas in Queensland with family. Phillipa Nairne said her family was due to leave Sydney for Queensland to spend the holidays with relatives, but a routine COVID-19 test required to travel there scuppered those plans. "We were having Christmas with Tim's family but the really nice thing was my mum was going to come too, so sort of bringing both families together. "Basically just to get us through home isolation I have been slowly bringing out her Christmas toys one by one to give them to her to keep her occupied," she said. In a social media post, Mr Connell urged people to "stay safe and hug ya loved ones" this Christmas.
