Officers Urged to Embrace AI, Robotics for Modern Warfare

Hyderabad: Emerging technologies such as AI, drones, autonomous robotics and machine learning are redefining modern warfare, observed Lt Gen. Neeraj Varshney, VSM, Commandant of MCEME, while addressing officers at the 106th convocation ceremony of the Military College of Electronics and Mechanical Engineering in Secunderabad on Tuesday. The ceremony saw the conferment of BTech degrees to 49 officers, including international participants, from the Degree Engineering Course-105 and Technical Entry Scheme Course-42. Telangana Governor Jishnu Dev Varma, the chief guest, lauded MCEME’s rigorous training standards and its role in shaping skilled, battle-ready officers who can drive technological advancement in the Armed Forces. The convocation, attended by dignitaries, senior officers and proud families, reflected MCEME’s enduring commitment to producing technically proficient officers equipped to tackle the challenges of modern warfare.
