Xi: Build strong information force
President Xi Jinping, who is also general secretary of the Communist Party of China Central Committee and chairman of the Central Military Commission, is greeted by military representatives on Wednesday during an inspection of the Information Support Force of the People's Liberation Army. Li Gang/Xinhua President Xi Jinping has called for efforts to build a strong and modernized information support force and to realize leapfrog development of the Chinese military's network information system. President Xi Jinping, also general secretary of the Communist Party of China Central Committee and chairman of the Central Military Commission, delivers an important speech when inspecting the information support force of the Chinese People's Liberation Army on Dec 4, 2024. Noting that the PLA Information Support Force is first and foremost a combat force, Xi stressed that the unit must speed up the construction of the network information system, which is extremely important for building a strong military, and urged the unit to build up its capabilities to provide service support for enhancing combat preparedness.
