ULEZ extension: Three in five London drivers are unaware of changes

London's Ultra Low Emission Zone has expanded 18 times in size this week to cover much of the capital and will sting up to 300,000 drivers every day. A poll of motorists who live in London or within an hour of the city found that only 35% knew how to check if their vehicle is compliant with ULEZ Tom Leathes, chief executive of the car selling firm, said it was surprising that more than half of drivers in and around London were 'still in the dark' about the ULEZ expansion, given that they have had over three years to prepare following Mr Khan's first announcement in 2018 and lots of warnings since.
