Telstra confirms 'intermittent' mobile outages in major cities around Australia

Telstra is reporting "intermittent" mobile outages in a number of major cities across Australia. "There was a vendor platform issue that impacted mobile virtual network operating services for a small number of wholesale customers," it said in a statement. It comes after Telstra's 3G and 4G mobile networks collapsed late last month, affecting major banks and businesses. Telstra later said services "returned to normal levels" but admitted at the time it did not know the root cause of the problem.
