New symbol might bring revolution to the party, says Shiv Sena MP Sanjay Raut
India TodayA new symbol might bring a new revolution for the party, Shiv Sena MP Sanjay Raut said on Monday. The remarks of Raut came after the Election Commission of India barred the Shiv Sena factions led by Uddhav Thackeray and Eknath Shinde from using the party name and its election symbol in the Andheri East assembly bypoll. This happened with the Janta Party as well.” Raut further said, “ Maybe the new symbol will bring a new revolution for the party, adding that the symbol and name might be different, but the party is still the same.” Sanjay Raut, who has been behind bars for over two months, was in Mumbai sessions court for the hearing of his bail plea on Monday. Shiv Sena MP Vinayak Raut and Shiv Sena Yuva leader Varun Sardesai too were in the court corridor meeting Sanjay Raut.
