Swiss Investment Giant Sees Big Potential in India as Trade Deal Gets Final Approval

Swiss company TEPA has signed a deal with the European Free Trade Association (EFTA) to invest $100 billion in India. The deal will reduce tariffs on 94.7 per cent of exports to zero from an average of 22 per cent now, giving Swiss companies an edge over counterparts in the European Union and Britain, which are still negotiating agreements with India.
