Gujarat father-daughter shot at US store after man waits all night for alcohol

After the murder of a Gujarati father-daughter duo outside their department store in Virginia shocked the Indian community in the US, the victims' family back in Gujarat revealed that they were shot by a man who was frustrated after waiting overnight for the shop to open so he could buy alcohol. On Friday, Pradeepbhai Patel, 56, died on the spot after an African-American man opened fire on him and his 26-year-old daughter at 5:30 am while they were opening their store. Describing the moments leading up to their deaths, Pradeep's family said that the accused, George Frazier Devon Wharton, had been lurking around their department store all night. Six years ago, Pradeepbhai and his wife Hansaben went to the US on a visitor visa along with their youngest daughter, Urvi.
