India lodges protest over comments by Muhammad Yunus's aide

He further added, "While India has consistently expressed a desire to strengthen ties with the people and the interim government of Bangladesh, such remarks underscore the need for responsibility in public discourse. The Ministry of External Affairs on Friday revealed that as many as 2,200 cases of violence against Hindus took place in Bangladesh in the year 2024, especially after the Sheikh Hasina-led Awami League government collapsed in the neighbouring country.
